FloatGroup builds and operates software companies in underserved verticals. We're currently growing two portfolio companies - FloatLegal (personal injury practice management for law firms) and FloatCare (healthcare operations software) - while expanding into healthcare services. This role sits within our healthcare services arm, where you'll be supporting patient acquisition for clinics across the US.
About the Role
You'll build and optimize local search presence for healthcare clinics from the ground up. This is a focused, execution-heavy role and you'll be handling everything from Google Business Profile setup to programmatic content strategy across multiple clinic locations and health conditions. Comfort with foundational work matters as much as strategic thinking.
What You’ll Do
Build and manage local listings:
- Set up and optimize Google Business Profile listings for each clinic location
- Maintain NAP consistency across Google, Yelp, Healthgrades, Zocdoc, and other directories, with regular audits to catch drift
- Keep healthcare directory profiles current on Healthgrades, Vitals, WebMD, RateMDs, and similar platforms, including individual physician profiles where relevant
- Manage ongoing GMB activity, including photo updates, post scheduling, Q&A responses, and review response coordination
Create and scale local content:
- Build condition-specific landing pages targeting local searches across a range of health conditions, with location modifiers for targeted regions
- Develop a programmatic content strategy targeting combinations of condition, body part, and geographic terms across multiple clinic websites
- Coordinate with the Google Ads manager to keep SEO and paid search aligned around landing page structure, keyword targeting, and messaging
Track performance and improve positioning:
- Monitor local search rankings on an ongoing basis, identifying gaps and acting on them without waiting to be directed
- Track keyword performance, local pack visibility, and organic traffic, and report on progress regularly
- Conduct periodic audits of technical health, mobile performance, and on-page SEO to flag and resolve issues
- Research competitors in target markets and identify opportunities to improve positioning
What You Need
Experience:
- 4 to 9 years of hands-on local SEO experience in the US market, ideally with multi-location businesses or healthcare clients.
- Solid working knowledge of Google Business Profile and standard SEO tools such as Semrush and Brightlocal.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly around NAP consistency, accurate business information, and structured data.
Nice to have:
- Healthcare marketing experience (not required if you have a general understanding of compliance considerations around medical content)
- Familiarity with on-page optimization and experience with programmatic or templated content at scale
Working style:
- You take ownership of your work and flag issues or updates proactively
- You keep your work documented in a way the broader team can follow without needing to ask
- You handle multiple clinic accounts without losing track of details
- You act on gaps when you see them rather than waiting to be directed
